Free Motion Embroidery: Creating Textural Artwork
Description
Participants will use their own photo as inspiration and make a painting on cotton fabric. You will learn to use fabric paints to create this watercolour-like background. This becomes the surface on which you learn to stitch using the needle of a regular zigzag sewing machine like a paint brush to add texture and dimension.

Note: Participants are asked to bring along their own sewing machine with basic sewing kit. A $10 loan fee will apply to those who do not bring along their own machine. This needs to be reserved when registering for the workshop.
