Torchless Treasures: Cold Joined Jewellery Techniques
Description
Looking to make some distinctive pieces? Take this two-day workshop from designer Trudy Gallagher and discover how to make stunningly beautiful jewellery. Using the centuries old systems of cold joining, you will learn pierce work through the use of a jeweller’s saw as well as how to use rivets, tabs binding, and even use eyeglass screws without the use of any torches or propane. You will be able to take away the knowledge of techniques to make art jewellery at home without all the costly equipment. During this workshop you will be able to make your own pendant and earrings and maybe even have time to create a bracelet from any metal. The materials fee covers the cost of non-precious metals and disposable studio supplies. If you wish to upgrade your jewellery pieces to sterling silver, you will have the option to do so at an additional cost determined at the beginning of the workshop.
