Torchless Treasures: An Introduction to the Jewellery/Metal Arts Studio

Looking to make some distinctive pieces? Take this two-day workshop from designer Trudy Gallagher and discover how to make stunningly beautiful jewellery. Using the centuries old systems of cold joining, you will learn pierce work through the use of a jeweller’s saw as well as how to use rivets, tabs binding, and even use eyeglass screws without the use of any torches or propane. You will be able to take away the knowledge of techniques such as filing, sawing, sanding, polishing, and applying a patina. During this workshop you will be able to make your own pendant and earrings.

Note: The basic $50 materials fee coversthe cost of non-precious metals and disposable studio supplies. If you wish to upgrade your jewellery pieces to sterling silver, you will have the option to do so at an additional cost determined at the beginning of the workshop.
