Description
Have you admired the delicate line work of Da Vinci and Durer, accomplished through the mysterious medium of "metal point"? Create your own masterpieces and gain experience in this ancient and very accessible drawing medium. In this two-day workshop you will learn to prepare drawing panels with a variety of appropriate grounds, both contemporary and traditional. Class work will include an introduction to the fundamentals of chiaroscuro through cross-hatching. Participants will explore this medium through the imagery of their choice. Possibilities include portrait, landscape, and still-life.
