Rug Hooking: Shading for Beginners
Description
Rug hooking began many years ago. Today the technique is much the same as it was then. We still use a hook and a printed or hand-drawn design on a chosen backing. We still love the “primitive mat”. Over the years, however, we have developed a refined technique for making floral rugs and wall hangings. Why not learn how to become a ‘shady lady’? This two-day workshop encourages beginners to see the ‘value’ in learning to rug hook and well as learning how to shade. Participants will learn how to hook a small trivet featuring three to six values of a flower colour with # 4 and 5 cut wool flannel.
