Free Motion Embroidery: Painting with Thread
Description
Do paint and sewing machines really match? Not really, but if you’re under the instruction of professional fibre artist Kathy Tidswell, you’ll soon learn to use a sewing machine needle like a paintbrush to create beautiful artwork. In this two-day workshop, you will use free motion embroidery and various colours of thread to make trees, flowers, weeds, water, etc. Master this and you can design a fabric landscape that you will texturize with thread. You will learn composition, depth, and perspective. Who says you can’t paint with a sewing machine?
