Picking Up the Pieces: Restoration of Pottery & Ceramics
Description
Do you have some treasured pottery items but are too special to part with? In this 5-day workshop, participants with no prior experience will bring along their favourite or valuable ceramic objects and learn to conserve, restore, and repair them. The workshop will cover basic care treatments including-surface cleaning and the rebounding of objects, which may have been broken in many pieces. It will also cover the re-construction of missing areas and the retouching of damage color
Note: Each participant is welcome to bring broken or damaged pots or ceramics. Otherwise some pieces to be restored will be provided.
