Introduction to Rug Hooking
Description
Have you ever wondered how those beautiful hooked mats are made? Why not take two days and try your hand at traditional rug hooking and make a 12"x12" table mat using new and recycled woolen fabrics? There will be time for lots of discussions about what wool fabric is suitable, where to find it and how to finish your piece. Your kit will include hook, pattern and backing and woolen fabric. All you need to supply is scissors, 14" quilting hoop if you have it and an interest in learning about traditional rug hooking. Some frames will be available for loan for the duration of the workshop.
