Introduction to Maille: 
Making Ancient Chain Woven Jewellery

In jewellery-making, maille or chainmaille is a chain made up of a pattern of interlocking rings called a weave.  In this two day workshops, participants will learn about the history of maille.  The sessions will focus on a different type of maille including European, Persian, Japanese, Spiral, and Celtic.  Students will choose a particular weave and create a piece of related jewellery.
