Introduction to Silkpainting

DescriptionPottery
Painting silk with a paintbrush?  This art form began in the east. Japanese and Chinese people painted their kimonos and other clothing. Today this art form is used to enhance everything from clothing to furniture and wall hangings.  In this two-day course with fibre artist Melanie Arbeau, you will learn the basics of applying dyes to silk fabric with a paintbrush.  By the end of the course you will have created a beautiful project such as a scarf or other object that you can take home.
