Heirloom Blanket Weaving

DescriptionSheep to Shawl
Did you ever wonder how cloth was made? This five-day floor loom workshop will focus on weaving a wool blanket. It will be offered at a beginner level so no weaving experience is necessary.  After choosing the designs for your blanket and the colours of your yarn, you will learn how to make a warp and dress the loom. Two weave structures will be demonstrated as well as different ideas for finishing your one of-a-kind blanket. During the week you will be able to complete a blanket approximately 40"x 65".
