Free Motion Embroidery: Flowers from Thread
Description
Drop the feed dogs on a regular zigzag sewing machine and learn free motion embroidery to create vibrant flowers both wild and the garden variety. Students will be able to accomplish a number of flowers such as lady slipper, iris, foxglove, calla lily, goldenrod, astilbe, etc. Methods for using them in quilts, artwork, cards, and wearable art will be demonstrated.

Equipment Required: Participants are asked to bring along their own sewing machine with basic
sewing kit. A $10 loan fee will apply to those who do not bring along their
own machine. This needs to be paid and indicated when registering for
the workshop.
