Fiddle I: Fiddlin' Around for Youth (ages 8 - 14 years)

Description  Fiddle I (ages 8 - 16 years)   
Hey diddle diddle, the kids and the fiddle. You won't be jumping over any moons but you'll certainly learn how to play the fiddle. In this five-day workshop with professional musicians, you will participate in group fiddle classes each day. You will enjoy instruction with others at your same capability level in Cape Breton, Irish, and Old Tyme styles. Opportunities to experience other elements of Celtic culture such as step dancing, musical spoons, Bodhran (Irish drum) Gaelic song, and Celtic art will be available to you. So get your fingers and feet ready! Instructors will include Katherine Moller on fiddle and penny whistle, Jacqueline Rowan on fiddle and step dance, and Helen Morag McKinnon for Celtic song.
