Draping for Fashion Design
Description
Designing clothing by draping on a stand allows designers the ability to work out their Design ideas three dimensionally and see their designs come to life immediately. Fashion designers primarily use two ways to achieve their design ideas; one is by flat pattern development and the other is by draping. Most people who design usually prefer one method over the other. In this five-day workshop participants will explore the basics of draping and try out some design ideas on a stand. This workshop is intended to compliment the Paper Bag Princess, which is a pattern drafting workshop.
