Egg Tempera II: An In-Depth Introduction to a Traditional Medium
Description
Practice makes perfect! Begin or expand on your knowledge of egg tempera painting. In this five-day course there will be a brief review of the relationship between egg yolk and egg tempera paints. Instructor William Forrestall will show you how to mix the paint and prepare a gesso hide skin glue board panel. While this dries, you will prepare heavy stock paper for painting. This longer workshop will give you the opportunity for extra practice with feedback from a professional painter. A tour of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery will encourage discussion of the artist's original work. Outside still life painting may be included, weather permitting.
