Basics of Drawing with Pencil & Ink

DescriptionBasics of Pencil Drawing
Pencil in some time! Learn the basics of pencil and ink drawing with artist Lloyd Fitzgerald, who will start your training with important pencil grips, whole arm motion, shading, practicing the tonal bar and the effect of one tone on adjacent tones, and how to change these tones to best advantage.  As the week progresses, participants will learn how to apply abstract concepts and techniques to any image, thus giving a whole new range of options on how to enhance the final image.  It won’t take long for you to catch on, and soon you’ll be drawing simple objects and themes with still life and symmetrical designs. The instructor will encourage you through various stages. Take the handouts home and keep your pen and pencil moving.
