19th Century Trades
Description
A 19th century carpenter worked with nails made by the local blacksmith, and the blacksmith's bucket came from the cooper shop next door. The cooper and the carpenter needed material cut at the sawmill, and the printer prepared the bags used at the gristmill for buckwheat flour. Work with each of these experts to learn how trades were the engine that kept 19th century community running.
