Psst….Are you still looking for a last minute gift for Mother’s Day? What has your
Mom always talked about learning how to do? Perhaps jewellery-making, beginning or improving her skills with a sewing machine, mastering all the tricks of that digital camera or finally taking a painting course? How about taking on the challenge of making a silver spoon or learning pottery? You could help her realize a dream.
edVentures is Atlantic Canada’s largest summer learning vacation program with 130 workshops offered this summer. There are many workshops that mothers and daughters can take together - even several that daughters younger than the age of 16 can take, like making uniquely personalized jewellery, learning to rug hook, or painting on fabric. Not sure what she would like? Put a note in her Mother’s Day card saying you’d like to take her to the edVentures Open House on Saturday, May 15th at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. That way she can choose her own workshop and you can still take advantage of early-bird prices until May 31st. The Open House runs from 10 am to 5 pm.
