Sheila Edwards

Sheila Andrew is a Professor Emerita in the History Department at St. Thomas University in Fredericton. She received both the students and university awards for excellence in teaching during her time at St. Thomas and continues to teach one course a year after her retirement.  She has published many peer-reviewed journal articles on Acadian history and The Development of Elites in Acadian New Brunswick 1861-1881. Montreal and Kingston: McGill-Queens' Press, Fall 1996. She is currently working on the role of New Brunswick Acadian women in this period and the years up to the end of the nineteenth century.
