Winter edVentures Workshops 

During Fredericton FROSTIVal, January 23-February 15, edVentures Fredericton will be offering one-day, weekend workshops in culinary, knitting, textiles, jewellery and painting!  Our renowned, skilled instructors will lead you in a ½ day or full day experience – brightening even the dreariest days of winter!

Silk Scarf Making WorkshopSilk Scarf Painting (Jan 25)
Instructor Melanie Mitchell will guide you in the proper techniques for painting silk scarves. By the end of the workshop you will have created a beautiful one-of-a-kind scarf that you'll take home (after it's dried of course!).

edVentures Fredericton Chain Maille Bracelet WorkshopKing's Chain Maille Bracelet (Jan 25)
Under instructor Trudy Gallagher's tutelage, learn to weave a beautiful chain maille bracelet in one day!  Participants will learn to make jump rings and two different types of clasps, use a jeweller's saw and weave with pliers. This King's Chain bracelet pattern is ancient, beautiful and strong.

Trudy Gallagher, instructor in Metal/Jewellery Arts at NBCCD, will help brighten your winter blues with a colourful beaded bracelet, handmade by YOU! With beautifully coloured wire and glimmering glass beads, Trudy will guide you through some insider tips and techniques to custom design and hand build your very own Wire Artistry bracelet.
